Our Team


Mara has a degree in Exercise Physiology from Bridgewater University and is a certified personal trainer. She has been in the fitness field for 21 years now and has worked for GISFW for twelve years. This is her passion, she lives and breathes the lifestyle of a fitness expert. Before working for us, Mara did one on one personal training, taught group exercise classes, did cardiac rehab and physical rehab. Mara enjoys training each member to their own individual needs and providing innovative, exercise techniques. Mara also has a great passion for nutrition. She is constantly reading and studying nutrition in her free time. She takes a lot of time with each member to ensure that their diet is properly addressed so they are able to see results and reach their goals. On her free time, you will find her running the roads of Westford as she is an avid, competitive runner and Mom of three girls whom she loves to inspire to be strong, fit girls!


Samantha is a certified personal trainer. Samantha has great versatility and meets the needs of all of our members. She trains each individual to their own individual fitness level and does so all with a smile on her face. Sam is down to earth, very friendly, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk through our door. She is our youngest staff member, and a very welcomed addition to our staff. Sam leads a very healthy lifestyle herself and on her free time she enjoys going to the gym herself!


Sandra is a certified personal trainer. She has been working for our studio for many years now. She is an excellent trainer! If you want to reach your goal and be pushed, Sandra is the one to see! She leads a very healthy lifestyle of her own, which includes great nutrition and exercise. She is very knowledgeable and takes great pride in helping our members reach what they never thought was possible! She is also a busy Mom of four, but still somehow manages to fit it all in!


I joined Get in Shape for Women in 2009 just after the Acton studio opened because I was interested in their model, wanted to lose a few pounds and needed a change. In 3 months, I lost 15 pounds while toning my body and gaining strength and endurance.  I loved the program and especially the lead trainer who at the time was none other than our own Tiffany!

Fast forward to March, 2011 when I retired and was trying to figure out what I wanted to do in this next phase of my life. By chance that the Acton GISFW was looking to hire a part time personal trainer and this seemed like the perfect fit. I spent 4 months studying with the National Academy of Sports medicine (NASM) and earned my certification in personal training (CPT) in September, 2011.

In the past few years I have enhanced my fitness back round by taking the NASM Women’s Fitness Specialization and the National Personal Training Institutes (NPTI) Suspension (TRX) and the Kettlebell Weight Training Certification.  Also, I took the Shaw Academy’s Personal Nutrition course as well as the NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialization (FNS) and the NASM Behavior Change Specialist Certification. I get a great sense of satisfaction helping women from 18-80 transform their lives through exercise, nutrition and accountability.  I have truly found my dream job!


I received my degree in Exercise Science from Indiana University and hold a personal training certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE). With over twenty years of experience in the fitness industry, I have worked as a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, fitness specialist, and manager. It is my belief that you should train hard, relative to your fitness level, giving 100% of what you have to give to your workout – to yourself. It is my goal to make each workout rewarding and to empower my clients to feel accomplished and confident. I am here to help each client push beyond their current abilities and achieve a higher level of personal success.
